1968 "Laugh-In" Sock it to me! As fast-moving as a hopped-up go-go dancer, NBC's "Laugh-In" was a mood ring for the '60s. Hosted by Dan Rowan and Dick Martin, the show featured a hodgepodge of one-liners, skits, body painting, dances and monologues. Among the regulars: Goldie Hawn, Lily Tomlin, Ruth Buzzi, Judy Carne, Jo Anne Worley, Richard Dawson, and Arnie Johnson. Among the special guests: Richard Nixon, who mistakenly asked, instead of stated, "Sock it to me?" |
